I first heard Rique Pantoja play this tune in LA in the early 90's and I was blown away by the great composition and performance. Later I hear Raphael Rabello and Romero Lumbambo playing it as a guitar duo and that's where this arrangement was inspired from. I have a short but sweet solo on this one. Sometimes in my group "Banda" I would take some extended solos but I enjoyed singing, leading, and then featuring the great musicians in group. I later went on to have the pleasure to perform this song with Rique in Rique Pantoja's group here in Los Angeles.

Volta Rapidinho (Ulisees Rocha)

Here is a tune from a great Brazilian guitarist relativly unknown outside of Brazil. Volta Rapidinho means "come back quick" We used to try and play this as fast as possible live. This studio demo is an easy pace though. Again here I feature the great soloists of my group.
